About The Author of Christ Centered Teaching – www.godcamedown.com
” but made Himself of no reputation,” Philippians 2:7
“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2
“I blog anonymously because , (as a personal view-point), it’s not about me, it’s about Jesus and His great love for you.”
My parents didn’t go to church, so I did not have Christian upbringing.
I’m not sure if that is entirely a bad thing, though it’s far from ideal but I don’t have any carryover resentment from being forced to go to church when I didn’t want to.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was a young boy because friends invited me to go to church with them. I was taught about heaven and hell and my need for salvation because of sin, and how Jesus sacrificial death on the cross had paid for my sin.I also learned that Jesus willingly laid down His life because he loved us and wanted to make a way to restore the relationships between mankind and Holy God.
As time went on my church went through changes, and so did I.
Childhood was visited by tragedy and heart ache when my father died in an accident when I was 11.
After a few years, I started going back to church. I was about sixteen and had way more zeal than brains.
I had to learn from the Bible that God is love because that was not clearly taught in church.
When I learned that God is love and that He showed the full measure of His love for us on the cross when He paid for our sins, I found out what this means, “we love Him because He first loved us.”
I married my high school sweetheart and we started a family. As my two sons grew I became deeply concerned that they also would come to know that God is love.
I also realized that I needed to protect them from the negative influence of unloving churches and teaching, and that mankind is most often a poor reflection of God’s love.
I knew my sons would grow to resent a God who was mis-represented as mean, unmerciful ,and unloving.
I also needed that assurance of a loving God in my life if I was going to be a good husband and father.
We have attended many different kinds of Churches and different denominations. I have attended Baptist, Presbyterian, Free Methodist, Nazarene and non denominational churches, all in a life long quest for peace ,fulfillment, and a genuine intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ, His Son.
I have found that the greatest need for the church and the world is for Christians everywhere to love God with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind, and all our strength.
In short, we need a revival of our grasp of the love of God.
We have been given the most amazing reason to love God; God Came Down in the personage of Jesus Christ and offered Himself as sacrifice for our sins for all who will believe and accept Him as savior.
He personally paid the debt we owed Him and I am astounded by such an overwhelming act of amazing love.
Christ is the best thing about life to me. I hope to be able to share Him with everyone.
Things I Try to Always Keep In Mind When Writing
I try to Gospelize everything I write about and give Jesus Christ His rightful place of preeminence in all theology and themes.
I emphasize Christ’s divinity.
I use Biblical Order of Importance. I call this Biblical Emphasis. God is love shown through Christ His Son, and the Bible, redemption, all that is contained in the Bible comprises God’s love letter to mankind.
I strive to speak the truth in love.
I believe God’s love is the Supreme Apologetic and that Christ is,”Our First Love.” Revelation 1:5
And I strive to put every concept in condensed form and simplify as much as possible without loosing meaning or purpose.
It is my goal to encourage others to join together with Christ’s purpose to reach the world for Him, and to be an on-line community for the Great Commandment,(Love one another), and the Great Commission,(Preach the Gospel and make disciples).
I will repost blogs and link media that are exemplify Christ’s rightful place of honor as our Lord and our God.
“He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.”
John 7:18
“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2
My hope is that you find direction ,encouragement, edification , faith ,hope and Love, and that you are inspired to know and love God,…
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
You can know Him. Only believe.
He paid our debt in full because He first loved us.
Our Lord and God is Christ, our message is His Gospel, and our context is God’s Love.

Hi Brother, thanks so much for visiting my blog. I’m really glad I visited yours. I too grew up outside the church. As Italians, my parents grew up in a very corrupt Christian environment, and decided to seek God in the occult and esoteric world. I finally entered a church 30 years ago with my wife, also invited by a sister in Christ. We sensed the presence of God and have been in one church and another ever since.
You’re awesome. We also have two sons and pray for them to finish well. I pray for yours as well.

Just a thought occurs to me, and I throw it out just because I’m made that way – to share thoughts with others, I guess. I sense clearly and powerfully that you exude Christ’s love, and that you have a powerful message. If I were going to plant a church I would want to be in that team with you. But here’s the thought. Let’s say we were planting a church together. Would you walk around with a bag over your head, insisting to be addressed generically, perhaps as brother? My thought is this: you were lovingly, wondrously, and uniquely designed for a purpose by God Himself. I’m sure you will agree to that. We all are. Also, He has given you and me and others who follow Him, a name that carries who you are. And a face. When you, in a sense hide or deny your identity, are you not saying that His masterpiece that you are is unworthy?
I think the church is partially to blame for this, as it has introduced this self denial and false humility into the teaching. God doesn’t hide His servants. Hi places us high on the rock, literally on display before the world and the enemy. He demonstrates His pleasure in His Son – and as we are in Christ, so also is He pleased in us His other children – when He says, my son in whom I am pleased. Yes, before Him we deny ourselves, and we dye to ourselves, but before the world He wants to show off your creativity, talents in writing, your love for Him etc. And I think, humbly as I do not presume to speak for Him, that He wants you to take off the bag over your face, and reveal your name.
Just a thought. I’m sure you have a perfect reason for not revealing your identity.
Please delete this if you like. I would have preferred to email you but could not find a way to do it.
Love what you’re doing and am following you so I can come back and read more.

No problem Franco. I have been asked and encouraged by others to do the same as you suggest. I even wrote a post specifically asking those who were following at the time to comment as to reasons why I should remain anonymous or not. The response was overwhelmingly in favour of remaining the messenger and nothing more. To make Christ known and nothing more. I love the fact that people can know the name Jesus Christ here in this sanctum without fear of distraction by any other name. I don’t ask for or accept donations of any kind. I don’t want fame. I suppose that if someone really wanted to find out who I am they could. But I assure you, the only thing special about me is Jesus Christ. Apart from Christ, I am nothing.
God bless you Franco.

Thank you for that. I’m sure you know that those of us who write seldom have any indication of impact.
I’m most grateful that you took the time to say so.

Thank you for visiting and following my new blog. I have been writing for some time–published in 2009–but never experienced the “fall out” with a local church until recently. The experience–clearly purposed by God–had a profound impact on my perspective of religion–and local churches, denominations. I am enjoying your blog and thank you for the honesty, Spirit-led encouragement and truth it offers. All the best, luke

In His earthly ministry and on the cross Christ suffered rejection of all kinds. If we feel something like that from the religious because of Christ, we are in the best of company dear brother or sister.

Praise God! Jesus says, “Seek and you shall find” (the Truth). I share your experience in life going from church to church and now from website to website, until I, too came to the conclusion to study the Bible on my own with the help of the Holy spirit who will teach me the Truth, according to what Jesus said before His crucifixion in John 14:26. I am so happy that I was led to your website when I was seeking for Christ centred articles versus self centred ones that I come across so much today in this century. I have bookmarked your website for daily growth in Christ, my Lord. May the Lord continue to bless the world through you.

Hannah,
I’m so very glad you find some of what you long for here.
Jesus is why I write, who I write about, and all that ultimately matters in life.
That can’t be overstated.
I want to know Christ and share Him with everyone.
Thank you for the generous and encouraging words of affirmation.

I found this in your blog “I blog anonymously because , (as a personal view-point), it’s not about me, it’s about Jesus and His great love for you.” to be the most profound statement of selflessness. I have not mastered that level of surrender. I keep trying but, for the obvious reasons, I fall far short. I’m not a raised in the churcher either, and I’m 3 score+4, there are more days behind me than I’ll ever see again——-here, I want to be heaven bound, and when these bonds are broke here, I wanna be there, to see his face.
I get help from committed believers such as yourself, and you are not anonymous, you are Christ in the life of others.
Amen

Thanks for your comments, and your ministry. On the subject of being raised in church, I have to say that it is heartbreaking when Christian parents don’t seek to instill faith in their children out of a fear of generating resentment. My younger daughter in particular went through a period of strong rebellion, but she now, and frequently, thanks her mother and me for setting unwavering standards. The truth must always be spoken in love, but it also must be spoken.

I’m not so sure that not being “raised in the church” is such a bad idea, either. Each of us develops his or her own relationship with God individually. We can’t “inherit” it from our parents or anyone else. No two people have exactly the same kind of relationship with God. Oh sure, God is consistent across all relationships, but each of us is different, thus our relationship with God is different than our neighbor’s, our Pastor’s, or our father’s.
That’s a good thing. God didn’t create us in His image so we could be a clone of every other 21st century Christian in the modern church. For each of us, there’s a job that God has for us that only we can fulfill. Be who God created you to be, not what everyone else in your church thinks you should be.
