The Road Map For Renewal For America – Gospel Shaped Ministry – By Tim Keller

“Gospel ministry is endlessly creative,it’s ever new,it means that you can preach the Gospel and you never have to be afraid of boring people.”

“The Gospel is what every theological category should be expounding when we do our theology.”

 “Every sermon ought to be about Jesus. It doesn’t matter what passage, or if it’s the Old Testament or the New Testament,it should be Jesus”

“Father, we want to be Gospel shaped people now.”

Tim Keller

This video is 54 minutes long.

If you can watch this video but only  have time for a few minutes of it, I suggest you watch the last 11 minutes, and come back for the rest later.

If you can watch the entire video you may conclude it is one of the best, and perhaps the best sermon I have posted by Tim Keller.

If you cannot watch the entire video, I will be posting more quotes from this video as I find the time. Please come back for more.

Lift Up Your Eyes On High

 “To whom then will you liken Me,
Or to  whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes on high,
And see who has created these things,
Who brings out their host by number;
He calls them all by name,

By the greatness of His might
And the strength of His power;
Not one is missing.

Why do you say, O Jacob,
And speak, O Israel:
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And my just claim is passed over by my God”?

 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the weak,
And to those  who  have no might He increases strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,

But those who wait on the ʟᴏʀᴅ
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:25 – 31 (NKJV)

Embrace Christ to Displace Sin

Righteousness Comes By God’s Presence – Not By The Mere Absence Of Sin

If we embrace what’s missing , it will displace what’s there.

In our case what’s missing is Christ and His perfect righteousness.

What’s there is sin and our imperfect self righteousness.

The problem is not that we have sin in our lives, so much as the problem is that we need Jesus in our lives.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

 “For he made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might be the righteousness of God in Him.”

2 Corinthians 5: 17, 21

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

Romans 5:5

If you are struggling with something that has a death grip on your life, ask Jesus to save you and believe in your heart that He can.

Jesus will come in and start the process to displace whats there.

Embrace to displace.
