Watch “Vlog 37 – The Power of Prayer, a Reprieve from Pain” on YouTube

Dr. Nabeel Qureshi is fighting stage 4 stomach cancer.

This video is amazing. You can witness what God is taking one man through and you can see what God is doing in his life. We get a glimpse into what God is possibly working, the pressures that Nabeel is facing ,the potential character only God can bring and the changes only God can make in a person’s life.

I pray for Nabeel for God to totally heal him. Nabeel is unique person in many ways a soldier for Christ whose heart is dedicated to increasingly loving God with all that is in him even as his bodily strength is reduced by chemotherapy and is challenged by pain and suffering and weakness. Nabeel continues to declare his love for God and at times seems to do so to a higher degree even as he becomes weaker! Yet God is doing something amazing, and God is working in wonderful ways in this man’s suffering. Perhaps he will be completely healed of his cancer.

For those of us who watch Nabeel updates as he goes through the valley of the shadow of death fighting cancer we get glimpses and insights their unique and will be treasured forever.

Those of you who do not know Nabeel need to know that he was raised strict Muslim and in medical school converted to Christianity through his friend David Wood whose videos are also on YouTube.

What I have seen Nabeel going through seems very much like what Christ endured during his 40 days of fasting in the desert. As His extreme weakness and His Faith are being tempted, His great strength is being formed far beyond human capability, faith that is in God alone through Christ alone.

If you watch this video you will do yourself and your friends a great service. I challenge you to watch through the times of obvious weakness and you’ll be rewarded by great Faith. You will witness faith in God rise above great human suffering.

You will see a unique and unspeakable truth come through in this video. The Love that grows stronger and more evident when tested, a love that identifies with Christ who’s suffering makes knowing God possible for all that place their faith in Jesus and His cross, and His sacrifice to pay for our sin.

God Grant Me Faith! – Prayer

Lord thank you for the faith to change what I can, the courage to believe nothing is too hard for you, and the wisdom to know that for sure. — God Came Down

“The Spirit which rests upon Jesus must anoint us also, or the measure of faith will not be enlarged.”
Breathe then the prayer to God, my brother, “Increase my faith:” this will be a far wiser course than to resolve in your own strength, “I will believe more,” for, perhaps, in rebuke of your pride you will fall into a decaying state, and even believe less. After having made so vainglorious a resolution, you may fall into grievous despondency: do not therefore say, “I will accumulate more faith,” but pray “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.” Herein is your wisdom.”– C.H.Spurgeon —
