The Unifying State of Wonder We Experience in Creation

image

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name,he gave the right to become children of God.

(The Gospel of John 1:10-12,The Bible )

Just as with any creative art, the creation we see around us reflects attributes of it’s Creator. We contemplate it through our senses of sight, scent, and sound. Together they leave us with one unifying state of wonder. The message is there for the taking if we dare to reach out and grasp it. All that is lovely, magnificent, majestic, intriguing, complex, simple, and beyond compression. He is far more than all of these combined.

Foremost Genetic Expert Francis Collins Says DNA is “The Language in Which God Created Life”

Christ's Resurection from Death

Mankind Was Created by Jesus -The Word Made Flesh, and With His Words,

and the Result is That We Have Words at Our Core.

Jesus is God incarnate.

Yes, He is the Word made flesh that dwelt among us as John’s Gospel tells us in chapter 1 ,”all things were created by Him”.

This ,”Word”, coincides with Genesis in the Bible where God “said, let us create man in our image”.

I’m saying that DNA is literally a detailed account of what God said when He created man.

We have evidence that God exists in ourselves.
In DNA we are witnessing through science the transcending of the natural realm into physical evidence for the miraculous.

Read this excerpt from a book written by the world’s foremost Geneticist Francis Collins –

—————————-

“As the leader of the international Human Genome Project, which had labored mightily over more than a decade to reveal this DNA sequence, I stood beside President Bill Clinton in the East Room of the White House…”

“Clinton’s speech began by comparing this human sequence map to the map that Meriwether Lewis had unfolded in front of President Thomas Jefferson in that very room nearly two hundred years earlier.”

“Clinton said, “Without a doubt, this is the most important, most wondrous map ever produced by humankind.”

But the part of his speech that most attracted public attention jumped from the scientific perspective to the spiritual. “Today,” he said, “we are learning the language in which God created life.

We are gaining ever more awe for the complexity, the beauty, and the wonder of God’s most divine and sacred gift.”

“I had worked closely with the president’s speechwriter in the frantic days just prior to this announcement, and had strongly endorsed the inclusion of this paragraph.”

“When it came time for me to add a few words of my own, I echoed this sentiment:

“It’s a happy day for the world.

It is humbling for me, and awe-inspiring, to realize that we have caught the first glimpse of our own instruction book, previously known only to God.”

“Why would a president and a scientist, charged with announcing a milestone in biology and medicine, feel compelled to invoke a connection with God? Aren’t the scientific and antithetical?….

for me the experience of sequencing the human genome, and uncovering this most remarkable of all texts, was both a stunning scientific achievement and an occasion of worship.”

“How Great is Our God: with Louie Giglio (full video)” 40 min.

( Click here for the full Video )

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. Psalms 33:6

Louie Giglio blows our minds as we try to grasp the enormity of God’s creation.

Just a glance into the massive universe that God has made adjusts our view of God in contrast to our sin and struggles.

Pastor Giglio also tells of what is known of DNA and how it further proves , “we are fearfully and wonderfully made”.

Then Giglio tells how he was approached by a molecular biologist on one occasion after telling of the bigness of God. This man challenged Giglio to tell everyone about the protein, “Laminin”. This protein literally holds us together. Amazingly, under an electron microscope, a single Laminin protein resembles a cross.

Here is the definition of Laminin that I found in Wikipedia.

“The trimeric proteins intersect to form a cross-like structure that can bind to other cell membrane and extracellular matrix molecules.”

Even more amazingly beautiful is the alignment with the Bible as it describes how Christ,,” holds all things together.”

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:15-20)

This is an amazing sermon about our amazing God who’s love is beyond the vastness of the entire universe, yet reaches to the smallest detail of who and what we are.

God’s signature and compassion is literally everywhere.

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”

( Galatians 6:14 )

An Atheist Discounts Evolutionary Theory

You know the theory of evolution is in serious trouble when an atheist shoots holes in it.

Ravi Zacharias Answers Stephen Hawking – Part 2 – Video 14 min.

Stephen Hawking declared that God was not needed for the universe to be created.
Theologian Ravi Zacharias and Dr. John Lennox,( a triple doctorate in science and philosophy from Cambridge university where Hawkings also studied, and has studied and is Professor of Mathematics at Oxford), respond to Hawking’s claim.

Ravi quotes Cambridge Professor John Conwell who states of Hawking’s claim;

“Dare I suggest the oracular Steven Hawking is not in keeping with the philosophers and theologians of our day instead of the other way around ?”
