“He was really important — in the Internet age, Mark Driscoll definitely built up the evangelical movement enormously,” Timothy Keller, the senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York told the Times. “But the brashness and the arrogance and the rudeness in personal relationships — which he himself has confessed repeatedly — was obvious to many from the earliest days, and he has definitely now disillusioned quite a lot of people.” ~Tim Keller~

A real man of God knows his biggest enemy is his ego.

Two tragic events happened in the same week.

One is the needless death of race car driver and the other is the fall of a mega church preacher.

We may be at the helm of a race car or a mega-church, but if we are blinded by an inflated image of ourselves, rather than the humility exemplified by Jesus Christ on the cross, we will run over people in blatant disregard for the lives of the very ones for whom your Lord and Saviour gave His life.

Join me in praying for Driscoll, Stewart, and the greiving family of Ward, Mars Hill Church, Acts 29, and the Church as a whole.

We need Jesus and men who truly know its all about Jesus.

Pray for a Jesus revolution.–125251/
